[Intro] Woke up this morning To a black and white surprise [Verse 1] Warden rang the bell at dawn Said the pandas cut the wire Left a trail of bamboo shoots And a note that said "retired" Now they're rolling down the highway In a stolen ice cream van One of 'em's wearing sunglasses Thinks he's a wanted man [Chorus] They're on the run They're everywhere Black and white and they don't care In the alley, in the square Pandas on the run They're on the run Can't hide, they're there Eating shoots in my easy chair Look left, look right, I swear Pandas on the run [Verse 2] Saw one in the supermarket Stacking mangoes in a pile One was on the midnight train Reading stock reports in style There's a panda in the bathroom There's a panda on the roof There's a panda in accounting And he will not show his proof [Chorus] They're on the run They're everywhere Black and white and they don't care In the alley, in the square Pandas on the run They're on the run Can't hide, they're there Eating shoots in my easy chair Look left, look right, I swear Pandas on the run [Bridge] You can call the cops You can call the zoo They just tumble, yawn and wave at you Too round to cuff Too cute to chase They'll steal your lunch and leave no trace [Final Chorus] They're on the run They're everywhere Black and white and they don't care In the alley, in the square Pandas on the run They're on the run Can't hide, they're there Round and rolling, I declare Pandas on the run [Outro] Everywhere... Everywhere... Pandas on the run
