The Face Of The Father

[Style: Slow southern Gospel Piano Ballad] [Tempo: Slow] [Intro] [Grand Piano Intro and throughout] [Verse 1] I have never seen you face to face never spoken with you, mouth to mouth But I have felt your sacred love I have felt your Spirit moving all about [Chorus] In the innocence of children In the love of my daughter When I feel her trace my face I ask what she’s looking after In a quiet whisper she says… The Face Of…..The Face Of...The Father… [Interlude] [Piano Arpeggios] [Verse 2] In the clamor of this life I cannot seem to find a quiet space But in the midst of the raging strife, I only long to see my Father’s face…. [Chorus] In the innocence of children In the love of my daughter When I feel her trace my face I ask what she’s looking after In a quiet whisper she says… The Face Of…..The Face Of...The Father… [Bridge] [Building Intensity] I need a quiet hill call my own A place I can get so very far away I imagine that’s where Abraham and Moses would have gone To be still and know to watch and pray [Outro] [Slow Fade] To seek the Face of the Father day by day To do His will and to know His way [repeat to fade [Soft Piano Chord]
