[Verse] With a burden on my back I flee From the darkness of my own city Footprints leading through the night Searching for that final Light [Chorus] Through the gate I find my way Burden's heavy but I pray Guide me guide me all the way To a bright and holy day [Verse 2] City of Destruction left behind Heart is searching mind’s confined Book in hand with truth so clear Hope is drawing ever near [Chorus] Through the gate I find my way Burden's heavy but I pray Guide me guide me all the way To a bright and holy day [Bridge] Every step is full of pain But I know it's not in vain Voices whisper don't you stay Keep on walking find your way [Verse 3] Eyes on the horizon’s glow City’s shadows far below Grace awaits beyond that door Feet may falter heart will soar
