Waking up ain't what it used to be No more birds outside my window Just courier drones whizzin' by No more yellow ball, just neon in the sky We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Just pawns in technology's game We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Hangin' in long enough, just to log on Somebody disconnect me! Goin' out ain't what it used to be No actors on the movie screens Just flashin' lights and C.G.I. What passes for cinema now? Makes me cry. We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Just pawns in technology's game We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Hangin' in long enough, just to log on Hit it, Mr. Macandeau! Hookin' up ain't what it used to be No one really tries to relate Just swipin' right, and walkin' by Into bed, try to avoid the S.T.I. We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Just pawns in technology's game We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Hangin' in long enough, just to log on I'm lagging! Huh! We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Just pawns in technology's game We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Hangin' in long enough, just to log on We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Just pawns in technology's game We're risin' to a dissonant dawn-- Hangin' in long enough, just to log on
