LEAP OF FAITH Rise Against Oppression — Find Your Voice NEW BREED R&B · Volume 2 · Track 5 [Intro — Female Lead, Soft and Determined] They said, “Stay quiet.” I said, “Not today.” They built their walls, But I found my way. One heart, one chance, One truth to defend. I’m taking that leap— Let the silence end! [Verse 1 — Female Lead] Feet on the ground, got my eyes on the sky, No more asking permission to try. You can close one door, I’ll create another, We rise together, we stand for each other. No fear in my voice, no shame in my name, I’m done carrying somebody else’s blame. You can judge my journey, you can question my pace, But you cannot erase what I bring to this place. [Pre-Chorus — Female Lead] If you feel that pressure, let your heartbeat speak, There is strength in the humble, power in the meek. Every voice matters, every soul has worth, Raise your head high, let the truth shake the earth! [Chorus — Female Lead with Male Responses] Take that leap of faith! (Step forward!) Find your voice today! (Speak louder!) No more living in the shadow, We were born to find our way! Rise up, rise up, let the whole world hear, Stand for the truth, let go of the fear. Take that leap of faith, let your spirit ignite, One voice starts the change—now we rise! [Verse 2 — Male Rap, Tight and Rhythmic] Check it! Who made the rules that keep good people down? Who takes the profit while they wear the crown? Who tells you “wait” while they take your time? Who moves the goalposts and calls it a line? I see the pressure, I know that game, Different postcode, but the struggle's the same. They sell you fear, then they profit from doubt, But a mind that's awake finds a way out. No need for violence, no need for hate, We challenge injustice, we change our fate. With facts in our hands and our feet on the floor, We stand for the people who were ignored. [Chorus — Female Lead, Male Call-and-Response] Take that leap of faith! [Instrumental Break — Live Bass Guitar, One-Drop Drums, Dub Echoes] [Verse 3 — Female Lead, Stronger and More Emotional] I know what it feels like to swallow your truth, To lose a little hope while you're searching for proof. To watch your dreams shrink to fit their design, Then wake up one morning and reclaim what is mine. I speak for the child who is scared to be seen, For the worker overlooked, for the unheard in between. For the ones who keep going when the road isn't fair, You are more than the burdens that you're forced to bear. Your voice isn't small just because they won't listen, Your light isn't gone when the world stops glistening. Take one brave step, let the next one appear, Courage grows stronger when we face what we fear. [Verse 4 — Male Rap, Playful Little-Lion Energy] Rrr-ah! Little lion, let your courage grow, Small paws stepping, but you run the show! No borrowed crown, no copycat face, Bring your own fire, find your own place! Quick-step thinking, let the bassline roll, Stand up straight with a heart and a goal. Not the loudest roar that proves you're strong, It's doing what's right when the crowd gets it wrong. No puppet strings, no fear on command, We build with our minds, we work with our hands. From one clear voice to a thousand more, When people unite, they can open the door! [Breakdown — Female Lead, Male Responses] Female: Who owns your future? Male: We shape our way! Female: Who has the courage? Male: We rise today! Female: What breaks the silence? Male: The truth we say! Both: Take that leap of faith—make a brighter day! [Final Chorus — Full Female Lead, Male Rap Ad-libs] Take that leap of faith! No chains on the mind, no fear in the soul, Stand for what's right, let compassion be the goal. One step, one voice, one future in sight— We rise together, we're reclaiming our light! [Outro — Female Lead over Deep Bass and Warm Organ] I found my voice… I took that leap… The truth I planted Is a promise I keep. [Male Ad-lib] Little lion, stand tall! One voice can move us all! [Both — Final Call] Rise up! Speak out! Find your voice! No more doubt! [Instrumental Outro — Heavy Live Bass, Roots-Reggae Drums, Dub Echoes]
