(Verse 1) Pascal said, “Place your bet, There’s too much to lose in death. If there’s no God, you lose so small, If there is—you could lose it all.” So choose belief, protect your soul, Heaven’s prize, avoid the toll. Sounds like wisdom, sounds so clear— Until you count the gods we fear. (Pre-Chorus) Which heaven? Which hell? Which sacred story should I tell? Which prophet? Which creed? Which god demands that I believe? (Chorus) You can’t win Pascal’s Wager, When every table has a dealer, Every faith can make the claim: “Choose us—or face the flame.” Bet on one, offend another, One true God becomes the other. Pascal, your numbers may be right— But you forgot there’s more than one bet tonight. (Verse 2) Christian, Muslim, ancient Greek, Different answers people seek. Hindu gods and doctrines too, Each can claim their path is true. And what about the gods now gone, Whose temples stood for centuries long? Ra and Zeus once ruled the skies— Were their believers rolling dice? (Pre-Chorus) Which scripture? Which sign? Which revelation is divine? If every road says, “Only me,” Where exactly should I be? (Chorus) You can’t win Pascal’s Wager, When every table has a dealer, Every faith can make the claim: “Choose us—or face the flame.” Bet on one, offend another, One true God becomes the other. Pascal, your numbers may be right— But you forgot there’s more than one bet tonight. (Bridge) And there’s something deeper That the wager doesn’t see— Can I simply choose What I honestly believe? Can I choose to think the moon is blue? Can I make myself believe it’s true? Can fear command my mind to see What evidence has not shown me? I can kneel. I can pray. I can say the words you want me to say. But if there’s a God who knows my mind, He’ll know the truth I hide behind. (Breakdown) Belief is not a switch. Faith is not a bet. I cannot force conviction Just to hedge against regret. And if God values honesty, Would pretending set me free? Would an all-knowing God prefer A frightened lie to sincerity? (Final Chorus) You can’t win Pascal’s Wager, There are too many gods and saviors, Too many heavens, too many hells, Too many voices ringing bells. Bet on one, you’re wrong to others, Every stranger calls another brother. Maybe truth was never found By betting where our fear points down. (Outro) So Pascal, I won’t place that bet Just because I fear what happens next. If there’s a God beyond the veil, Surely honest questions shouldn’t fail. I’ll follow evidence where it leads, Not manufacture borrowed beliefs. If truth is sacred, let truth decide— I cannot choose what I believe just to save my life.
