[Verse 1] We built this mess by hand Cardboard throne on a sticky floor Milk crate dreams, torn seams And we keep coming back for more [Pre-Chorus] Yeah, it’s rough around the edges Yeah, it burns when we get close Still we grin like idiots Watching it all go up in smoke [Chorus] We love our dumpster fire We love our dumpster fire It’s ugly, loud, and mine We love our dumpster fire [Verse 2] Late-night takeout on the hood Rain on the windshield, split in two Your laugh in the backseat Saying, “Baby, that’s just us, it’s true” [Pre-Chorus] Yeah, we trip, then we dance on it Yeah, we spill, then we toast Every bad idea we touch Turns into the thing we want most [Chorus] We love our dumpster fire We love our dumpster fire It’s ugly, loud, and mine We love our dumpster fire [Bridge] Let it crack Let it glow Let the whole block know We don’t need clean edges We just need to hold on [Final Chorus] We love our dumpster fire We love our dumpster fire Keep the smoke up high We love our dumpster fire We love our dumpster fire We love our dumpster fire Ugly, loud, and mine We love our dumpster fire
