Microdose

V5.5

[M] A microdose of courage drips under my tongue— city lights glitch and bend. [F] I melt the particles of fear into the sub-bass, and my chest begins to pulse, slow and deep. [M] I ride the funky breaks—angular, mechanical— their edges kissing the tempo. [F] On the future’s skeleton, I etch a faint shadow of you. [M] A sugar of static melts; clockwork tides move underneath my skin. [F] Tides slip between my ribs, barely there, and breathing turns into numbers. [M] Gravity tilts the room—your name, sampled, looping back in blue. [F] Fractured syllables of your name return like warning lights in cobalt blue. [Both] A trembling fingertip sends a secret polarized signal: come closer— a pale refraction whispering in the palm. [F] The words I can’t say wait on my tongue, holding only warmth as they rise. [M] We sip the night in micrograms— bassy and precise, no sudden moves. [F] At the edge of time, the needle halts, and only our shadows move ahead. [M] When the city inhales, my ribs quantize; your outline phase-shifts straight through me. [Both] A tender eclipse glows warm in the hollow of our hands— a quiet light beneath chrome. [F] Touching without touching, I borrow gravity for this micro-night. [M] Between the clicks, we fall— and stay in orbit anyway.
