[Intro] (Soft acoustic guitar and gentle piano building into a soulful rhythm) [Verse 1] Why do You stand so far away, O Lord? In times of trouble, I am seeking Your word. The wicked boast and hunt the weak and poor, They think that You won't judge them anymore. [Verse 2] The greedy say that God will never see, They hide their face and live in vanity. But You behold the sorrow and the grief, To give the brokenhearted sweet relief. [Chorus] Arise, O God, and lift Your mighty hand! Do not forget the helpless in the land. You are the King forever, true and bright, You bring the orphans out of dark to light. [Verse 3] They curse and lie and think they stand so tall, Believing in their pride they'll never fall. But You have seen the mischief they have done, And justice will be brought by You, the Son. [Chorus] Arise, O God, and lift Your mighty hand! Do not forget the helpless in the land. You are the King forever, true and bright, You bring the orphans out of dark to light. [Bridge] You hear the gentle whispers of the meek, You give Your strength to those who are so weak. The earth will know Your justice and Your grace, And terror will no longer hide Your face. [Guitar Solo] (Soulful, emotional, and uplifting melody) [Chorus] Arise, O God, and lift Your mighty hand! Do not forget the helpless in the land. You are the King forever, true and bright, You bring the orphans out of dark to light. [Outro] Forever You will reign upon the throne, We'll never have to walk this world alone. So hear our prayer and let Your spirit soar, We'll praise Your holy name forevermore. (Fade out on a lingering, soothing piano chord)
