Proverbs 6 Words of Your Mouth 60's Blues Rock

V6

[verse] My son, if you have been a co-signer for your friend, if you have given your handshake for a stranger, you have been trapped with the words of your mouth, you are caught by the words of your mouth. Do this now, my son, and save yourself, because you have put yourself in your friend’s hand; go, humble yourself before him, and appease your friend. [Chorus ] Don’t give sleep to your eyes, or rest to your eyelids. Be saved like a deer from the hunter’s hand, and like a bird from the hand of the fowler. Look to the ant, you lazy one; consider her ways, and be wise: Without having any chief or officer or ruler, she provides her food in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest time. [verse] How long will you lay there, O lazy one? When will you get up out from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to lay down: and your poverty will come like a traveler, and your lacking like an armed man. A worthless man, is a wicked man, goes out with a crooked mouth. he winks his eyes, he shuffles his feet, he points with his fingers; Perversity, is in his heart, he plots evil all the time; he sows strife. So his undoing will come suddenly; he will be broken in an instant without healing. [chorus] These six things YAHWEH hates: but, the seventh is the abomination of his soul: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that plans wicked thoughts, feet that hurry to run to evil, A false witness that breathes lies, and one who stirs up strife between brothers. My son, guard your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake the teaching of your mother: Tie them to your heart always, and tie them around your neck. When you walk, it will guide you; when you lay down, it will guard you; and when you wake up, it will talk with you. [chorus] Because a commandment is a lamp; and the Torah is light; and reproving discipline is the way of life: To guard you from an evil woman, from the smoothness of the tongue of a foreign woman. Don’t desire her beauty in your heart; and don’t let her captivate you with her eyelids. because for the sake of a whorish woman, one may beg for a loaf of bread: [verse] an adulteress woman can trap a precious life. Can a man pile up fire in his chest, and his clothes not be burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being burned? So is one who goes into his friend’s wife; whoever touches her won’t go unpunished. A thief isn’t overly scorned if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry; When he is found, he will pay back seven-fold; even give all the wealth of his house. But he that commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: a destroyer of his soul will do this. [Final Chorus Tag - bigger, taps double of tamourbine claps, anthemic ending] Plague and shame will he find; and his scorn won’t be erased. Because jealousy ignites a husband’s fury: So he won’t have pity on the day of revenge. He won’t accept any ransom; and won’t relent, though the bribe is great. My son, if you have been a co-signer for your friend, if you have given your handshake for a stranger
