Turn Northward

**Title:** Turn Northward

**Verse 1:**
A lesson from the Chofeitz Chaim,
In a time of bitter exile’s pain,
Moshiach waits for our return,
Through teshuva, the dawn will break.

**Chorus:**
Turn northward, the time is near,
Heed the call, cast away your fear,
Repent, return with all your heart,
And from the north, the light will start.

**Verse 2:**
The Rambam's words are clear and true,
Yisroel’s redemption is due,
But only through teshuva's gate,
Will we see the Moshiach's fate.

**Chorus:**
Turn northward, the time is near,
Heed the call, cast away your fear,
Repent, return with all your heart,
And from the north, the light will start.

**Bridge:**
Like a dog who bites the stone,
Forgetting who has thrown,
So too, in these troubled times,
We miss the Hand, the Divine signs.

**Verse 3:**
The Mishnah speaks of faces like dogs,
A generation lost in fog,
But the stick that strikes is not the foe,
It’s the message we need to know.

**Chorus:**
Turn northward, the time is near,
Heed the call, cast away your fear,
Repent, return with all your heart,
And from the north, the light will start.

**Verse 4:**
From the north, a threat will rise,
But it’s meant to open our eyes,
R' Shimon Bar Yochai did see,
That northward lies our destiny.

**Chorus:**
Turn northward, the time is near,
Heed the call, cast away your fear,
Repent, return with all your heart,
And from the north, the light will start.

**Verse 5:**
The tzaddikim who sleep in the north,
Guard us as we venture forth,
Their merit stands, their prayers rise,
To protect us under the northern skies.

**Chorus:**
Turn northward, the time is near,
Heed the call, cast away your fear,
Repent, return with all your heart,
And from the north, the light will start.

**Bridge:**
The winds of the north will bring,
Redemption's sweet and final ring,
Abarbanel spoke of this day,
When the threat would fade away.

**Verse 6:**
Yirmiyahu’s words still ring,
From the north, misfortune will spring,
But if we turn and face the call,
Hashem will redeem us all.

**Chorus:**
Turn northward, the time is near,
Heed the call, cast away your fear,
Repent, return with all your heart,
And from the north, the light will start.

**Outro:**
Now is the time to make the choice,
To turn and hear the still small voice,
In teshuva, redemption's key,
The north will bring our destiny.
