HI-VIS SURFER — “THE CURRENT CORRECTS ITSELF”

[INTRO] [lo-fi guitar feedback] [metal clank rhythm like pallet drop] [radio static crackle] [spoken, low energy vocal] Don’t say the name wrong on the radio… [VERSE 1] [distorted guitar enters, simple driving riff] Freight don’t sit where it’s supposed to sit Aisles shift when the signal hits Forklift stalls then starts again Like it forgot how it began Someone says “it’s fixed, I swear” But nobody saw who was there Just a flash of hi-vis light Then everything turned out right [PRE-CHORUS] [drums tighten, raw snare] No one files it in a report No one wants to say it short [CHORUS] [full garage punk energy, loud guitars, fast drums] He’s Hi-Vis Surfer — that’s the code they use When the freight starts acting like it’s confused Nothing official, nothing on file Just “he was here” and silence for a while Hi-Vis Surfer — don’t say it loud Not in the office, not in the crowd When the system breaks and the lines go wrong He’s just the reason it’s back before long [VERSE 2] [slightly stripped, still raw] Radio chatter cuts in and out Half the time it’s just people shouting doubt “Did you see him?” “No, did you?” “Never mind, it’s already true” Pallet stacks realign themselves Like they never needed help And nobody sees the hand That tells the floor to understand [BRIDGE] [breakdown, bass heavy, minimal drums] They don’t write him down in logs He’s not in meetings or catalogs [spoken, almost whispered] Just a code name… on the night shift line [FINAL CHORUS] [full punk drive, faster tempo, shouting vocals allowed] He’s Hi-Vis Surfer — that’s the code they use When the freight starts acting like it’s confused Nothing official, nothing on file Just “he was here” and silence for a while Hi-Vis Surfer — don’t say it loud Not in the office, not in the crowd When the system breaks and the lines go wrong He’s just the reason it’s back before long [OUTRO] [guitar feedback fades] [radio static returns] [spoken, low energy vocal] You didn’t see him. You just know it worked.
