Watch the Stars Come Out

[Pre-Chorus — violin rises; male vocal joins]
She leaves that note where a lonely boy can see:
“Somebody’s glad you’re here. That somebody is me.”
He buys a bus ride for a woman short a dime;
She calls her distant sister for the first time in a while.

[Chorus — bright drums, deep bass; sing together]
Let love light up like stars across the sky,
One little spark can set the street alight.
Hand to hand and heart to heart,
A tiny bit of good can travel far.
I caught a little kindness, now I’m passing it around;
Watch the stars come out all over town.

[Verse 2 — rhythmic male vocal; piano keeps the pulse]
A baker packs a pastry for the kid who missed a meal,
The kid picks up a fallen sign and helps the shop next door.
The shopkeeper brings flowers to a neighbor feeling low;
She puts one on a stranger’s porch with a note that says, “Hello.”

[Pre-Chorus — female lead; strings build]
No grand parade, no glitter, no one knows their names,
Just people paying forward what another person gave.
The smallest seed of sweetness finds a place to grow;
By sunset every sidewalk has a story of its own.

[Chorus — full duet; wider harmony]
Let love light up like stars across the sky,
One little spark can set the street alight.
Hand to hand and heart to heart,
A tiny bit of good can travel far.
I caught a little kindness, now I’m passing it around;
Watch the stars come out all over town.

[Bridge — strip to piano and violin; trade lines]
[Female] If your world feels cold, I’ll hold the door.
[Male] If your hands are full, I can carry more.
[Female] We don’t have to solve the sky tonight.
[Male] We can give one person back their light.
[Both] Then they can give it to somebody else.

[Final Chorus — soaring strings, choir, dance beat]
Let love light up like stars across the sky,
One little spark can set the street alight.
Hand to hand and heart to heart,
A tiny bit of good can travel far.
I caught a little kindness, now I’m passing it around;
Watch the stars come out all over town.

[Outro — piano softens; voices together]
A little love, a little light—
Pass it on and let it shine.
