In grief, her mother Demeter wandered the earth searching for her, and her sorrow brought famine and endless winter upon the world. Through Zeus’s mediation, Persephone was allowed to return to the surface. Yet because she had eaten the pomegranate seeds offered by Hades, she was bound to spend part of the year in the Underworld, and the rest upon the earth. Thus was born the cycle of the seasons— a tale of a maiden stolen by love, bound by love, whose descent and return weave the rhythm of life itself. — A love both sweet and sorrowful, eternal as the turning of time. ────────────────── Eternal Fruit – Persephone [Intro] Fingertips melt into the dark, A quiet breath trembles through the night.
