When we’re in the valley, It’s dark and sad and lone. Lost among the shadows, We think we’re on our own. Looking for direction, Wondering why we’re there, Will there be deliverance? Answers to our prayers? Knowing God is with us, Yet wrapped all up in dark, Tripping on our heartache, The future seems so stark. Time and time we get up, Choosing to go on, Trusting in God’s goodness, Faith that there’ll be dawn. Then our eyes are opened! We see, His light is shone! Not only is He with us! There are others, lost, alone! Sometimes we find our calling, On mountaintops of praise, But sometimes it’s in valleys, With the sad, the lost, the dazed. So praise Him in the valleys! And wherever you might be! Holding fast to Christ our Savior, As He leads to victory!
