[Verse] Oh gather ’round, ye barnacled crew, And hear old Corvax tell, Of a night the fog turned green and thick And the waves began to swell. He stood upon his rattlin’ deck, With gears and bolts for loot, Yellin’, “Stand aside, you simple fools This is a computer!” [Pre-Chorus] But the sea went still as a held-back breath, The moon a ghostly rock, When from the deep came thunderin’ steps And the sound of crunchin’ clocks. [Chorus] He roared “I eat clocks!” like a titan of moss, With a belly that chimed like doom, A great green beast the sailors whisper Stalks the ocean gloom. Oh Muzzy, Muzzy, myth of the tide, Clock-eater of the brine And poor old Corvax swore that night He’d never sail past time. [Verse] Corvax raised his copper spyglass Made from rust and pride, Searching for the shape that groaned Beneath the turning tide. He muttered, “This must be a glitch… A figment... nothing more,” Until a furry mountain rose Right next to his ship’s door. [Pre-Chorus] The crew all fled below the deck As chains and timbers shook, For Muzzy’s eyes glowed gentle blue But Corvax never looked. [Chorus] “I eat clocks!” the monster sang, Like a choir with iron lungs, And every pocket watch aboard Was devoured one by one. Oh Muzzy, Muzzy, soft and strange, A creature carved from fog While Corvax screamed into the night, “My ship runs on analog!” [Bridge] Strike the drum and bend the mast, For time itself fell down And Corvax tried to quantify The beast with circuits brown. “This is a computer!” he cried, “Obey, you beastly mass!” But Muzzy only smiled and ate His hourglass. [Chorus] Now sailors speak of Corvax lost, Still tinkerin’ through the foam, Chasin’ the clock-eatin’ wanderer Too strange to call his own. Oh Muzzy, legend of the deep, Keeper of tidal chimes Devouring clocks to guard the sea, And silence mortal time.
