[VERSE 1] The sky turned grey The streets ran wild Umbrellas hurried For miles and miles But you just laughed Like storms were small And in that moment I lost it all One little smile One stolen glance A heartbeat whispered, "This is your chance." --- [PRE-CHORUS] Maybe love Never knocks. Maybe it just Walks beside you In the rain. --- [CHORUS] I fell for you In the pouring rain Every heartbeat Spoke your name Thunder faded The world stood still One look... One smile... And I always will If forever Has a face I found it there In that time and place I fell for you... In the rain. --- [VERSE 2] Your soaking hair Your shining eyes Reflected every Stormy sky We never noticed Passing time Your hand found mine Mine found life The city vanished Street by street Until your footsteps Matched my beat --- [PRE-CHORUS] Every drop Kept perfect time. Every second Brought your heart Closer to mine. --- [CHORUS] I fell for you In the pouring rain Every heartbeat Spoke your name Thunder faded The world stood still One look... One smile... And I always will If forever Has a face I found it there In that time and place I fell for you... In the rain. --- [BRIDGE] Let the sky keep crying Let the wind blow on If this is where love found us I never want the storm to be gone Every memory Still begins With falling rain... And you. --- [FINAL CHORUS] I fell for you In the pouring rain Now every storm Feels warm again The years may pass The clouds may change But every raindrop Calls your name So let it fall From skies above Every shower Sings our love I fell for you... I still fall for you... Every time It rains. --- [OUTRO] The rain kept falling... So did I.
