[female airy rocker, hook] Beyond Faith Beyond religion I yearn for A real relationship Knowing truth Knowing God Is that what I’m living for? Jesus Will you take me beyond [rap, male] Before everything There was something Something created everything spawned it into existence Said let there be light And it came to fruition created mankind There was a relationship But we disobeyed And then there was distance But this something didn’t leave us alone Stranded in a garden But came back To crush the head of a serpent Transferred our debt onto himself For one moment On a hill he looked out The land was darkened A silhouette of a cross The Father had chosen To be pleased to have one man suffer The Son of Man That many would be made righteous [rap, male] Forwarding All Issues To Heaven Only to Forget All Injuries That Harmed When we get to our destination We find Family Are Intertwined Towards Home At the finish line What really mattered was love Other gifts paled in comparison when we made it beyond Fire At Impact Taught Hearts That the real prize wasn’t the prize itself But the motive that drew us together Heaven would be empty if not for others we love Without the source of love The person that created it Who went beyond the veil Stood outside of time Saw the outcome of every possibility Choose our current reality Allowed evil Maybe to show us his justice in the future Even if not in the present moment But to gather all things to honor him Things in heaven and on earth and under the earth To one day proclaim The greatest name The Word made flesh That created everything Jesus Christ is Lord A being above all things The creator The beginning and end Beyond Beyond the veil Beyond the door that I’m knocking on Maybe it’s already opened and I’m at the frame Searching for the handle like a mime And the blessing is already mine I just need to walk through and make a claim When I ask To Believe what I have asked for That I already have received it And then it comes to fruition Let there be Light Is Synonymous with saying Amen So let it be It’s already done Onto the next thing Things that really need attention What really matters The thing that shines brighter What we want mentioned When we are at the end of our travels And make our way to our final home Travel beyond Beyond the veil To that end we are given a promise The felt in our sails can be untethered Lifted with a wind that blows strongest When we believe Guided to an eternal home where there is no evil No decay Where there is no dismay No more death or suffering The wind never stops blowing What provides its strength Is within our hearts Faith It is necessary But lesser than one thing Doesn’t have as much weight Doesn’t provide the bases Doesn’t hold everything together in perfect harmony It might help us rise above To our heavenly home But one thing keeps us while we are here And maybe keeps us there too Love Beyond [epic guitar solo instrumental] [female airy rocker, hook] Beyond Faith Beyond religion I yearn for A real relationship Knowing truth Knowing God Is that what I’m living for Beyond Faith Beyond religion I yearn for A real relationship Knowing truth Knowing God Is that what I’m living for?
