[Verse] The leaves are trembling A whispered song A fiery chorus It won’t last long Gold to crimson Amber flames The earth is dressing Shedding names [Prechorus] Does the wind cry or does it sing Does it pull the thread or mend the string [Chorus] Oh autumn Oh autumn Your colors collide A blaze in the branches A world open wide Oh autumn Oh autumn Your beauty won't stay A fleeting enchantment Then blown away [Verse 2] A tree’s last dance A pirouette Each leaf a promise it won’t forget The ground a canvas Splashed with fire A fleeting masterpiece to inspire [Prechorus] Does the sky mourn or does it cheer For every ending whispers near [Chorus] Oh autumn Oh autumn Your colors collide A blaze in the branches A world open wide Oh autumn Oh autumn Your beauty won't stay A fleeting enchantment Then blown away
