Yellow Sign

[Verse 1] My collection, from it's inception I've been selectin' All these things I've been manifestin' I sit here now A lonely crown On an artist's hallowed ground A lifetime amassed A bemusement of the past A pile of lifetimes Not yet passed [Pre-Chorus] The monsters they come to me Bound by the page My trauma, my heart My rage Pouring out with pen-swept pace Another record Of the human race [Chorus] Yellow sign, yellow sign Give it its time Yellow sign, yellow sign It’s not malign Give it time Give it time Let it rise Let it shine [Verse 2] Jackal of all trades Masterless son Lost in the cosmos Blistered by the sun The stars have come calling I hear them near In the thick dark quiet They make it clear [Pre-Chorus] The monsters they come to me Bound by the page My trauma, my heart My rage Pouring out with pen-swept pace Another record Of the human race [Chorus] Yellow sign, yellow sign Give it its time Yellow sign, yellow sign It’s not malign Give it time Give it time Let it rise Let it shine [Bridge] If I built my house from ruin If I named my grief as gold Would the future keep on breathing Would the story still unfold The stars have come calling And I answer back No more chains around the ending No more looking black [Final Chorus] Yellow sign, yellow sign Give it its time Yellow sign, yellow sign It’s not malign Give it time Give it time Let it rise Let it shine
