That Ole' Watertower
I've read about great monuments, all around the world, Sites so grand, they make your head swirl. The Eiffel tower, can be seen over the Paris skyline, But I'll take the watertower in my hometown, anytime. Climbing that ole rusty ladder, my girl by my side, WIth some wine and a blanket, It's our favorite place to hide. Next to you, this is the prettiest view in this ole town, Just holding your hand and kissin, while the sun goes down. There's the Leaning Tower of Piza, or even Big ben, But you'll find me climbing this ole water tower, again and again. It's where we had our first date, and where I proposed to you, Our favorite spot above this ole town, under a sky of blue. Climbing that ole rusty ladder, my girl by my side, WIth some wine and a blanket, It's our favorite place to hide. Next to you, this is the prettiest view in this ole town, Just holding your hand and kissin, while the sun goes down. Let the world have their wonders and sites to behold, We'll just keep climbing this watertower until we're too old. Even then we can still see that ole tower from our front lawn, Reliveing all our memories, until the break of dawn. When life finally comes to an end, in our final hour, Let us rest together, forever, under that ole water tower.
