BUT LOOK AT THAT CIRCLE

V5.5

[Verse 1] I was trying to draw a capsule So I drew a circle on the page No ruler No compass Nothing Wait— That's actually pretty good So I drew another one Just to make sure And yeah That one was pretty good too How did I live this long Without knowing I could do this? For about five minutes I was very proud of myself [Pre-Chorus] So I walked down to Capsule Wave Feeling strangely confident Today might be my day Do I have a reason? No. But look at that circle. [Chorus] Round and round I turn it once There you are Okay That's fine Round and round I turn it twice ... You again? Third time Come on Anybody else The capsule drops Same little face And somehow My confidence hits the floor Before the capsule does [Verse 2] “But I draw really good circles” I actually said that Inside my head Three duplicates in a row And this is apparently How I'm fighting back With a circle That's when The whole thing got funny I looked at the three of them Sitting in my hand They looked back at me And I started laughing All by myself [Chorus] Round and round Some days just go that way You try your luck And get the same thing Three times in a row But somewhere inside This very average day I discovered One completely useless Wonderful little thing I draw A pretty good circle [Bridge] Maybe confidence Isn't something huge Maybe it's not “I can do anything” Maybe sometimes It's just— “Huh. I'm kinda good at this.” And for today That's enough [Final Chorus] Round and round Good days come Round and round Bad ones too But tonight I've still got something I didn't have this morning Three duplicate capsules In my pocket And one ridiculous talent I didn't know was mine By the time I leave Capsule Wave Honestly— I kinda like All three of them Walking home Under the evening sky I think about that circle again And laugh Maybe confidence Is a little like that Perfectly round For a minute A little dented The next And somehow Still rolling.
