Paw and Mama's Biscuit Battle
[Verse] Paw sat down at the table, his boots still caked in dirt, Mama brought her biscuits, in her old checkered skirt. He took one bite and grimaced, then let out a mighty roar, “This thing’s as hard as horseshoes!” and he threw it on the floor. [Chorus] Mama’s face turned crimson, her hands went to her hips, She grabbed the cast iron skillet with a fury on her lips. “You don’t like my cooking? Well, here’s something more!” And she hurled that skillet flying, right across the kitchen floor. [Verse] Paw ducked behind the counter, laughing like a fool, Mama grabbed a jar of peaches from the pantry shelf so cool. She flung it like a fastball, and Paw scrambled out the door, While that jar shattered to pieces, spilling peaches on the floor. [Chorus] Mama’s face turned crimson, her hands went to her hips, She grabbed the cast iron skillet with a fury on her lips. “You don’t like my cooking? Well, here’s something more!” And she hurled that skillet flying, right across the kitchen floor. [Bridge] By supper time they made up, Paw said he’d been wrong, He promised to eat biscuits, no matter how hard or long. Mama smirked and handed him one fresh from the stove, Paw bit down and cracked a tooth, but he smiled and said, “I love ya, Rose.” [Chorus] Mama’s face turned crimson, her hands went to her hips, She grabbed the cast iron skillet with a fury on her lips. “You don’t like my cooking? Well, here’s something more!” And she hurled that skillet flying, right across the kitchen floor.
