Verse 1 A vineyard planted by the Master's hand, Every stone and every vine just as He planned. A wall for shelter, a tower standing high, A winepress waiting for the harvest by and by. He leased it out and journeyed far away, But harvest season came on God's appointed day. He sent His servants, calling for the fruit, Yet pride-filled hearts refused the living truth. They beat one down, They stoned another. They killed the prophets, One after each other. Mercy kept knocking, Grace still remained, But hardened hearts only deepened their shame. Pre-Chorus How long will mercy call? How long before we fall? The Father's patience filled the night, Yet blinded eyes despised His light. Chorus The Stone that the builders rejected Has become the Cornerstone! Christ is reigning, resurrected, Seated on His Father's throne! King of glory! Lamb once slain! Every nation calls His name! Every kingdom bows to Him on the throne, Jesus Christ—the Cornerstone! Verse 2 Then came the Son—the Heir of all, The Father's image, answering the call. They saw His glory, knew who He was, Yet chose rebellion over love because. "Come kill the Heir!" Their voices cried out. "Then all the vineyard will be ours." they shout. Outside the city, outside the gate, They nailed the Lord to a cross of hate. But death itself could never hold The Author of salvation foretold. The grave gave way, The stone rolled free, The King arose in victory! Pre-Chorus The cross was not defeat. It was redemption's main feat. What sinful hands meant for disgrace, God turned to everlasting grace. Chorus The Stone that the builders rejected Has become the Cornerstone! Christ is reigning, resurrected, Seated on His Father's throne! King of glory! Lamb once slain! Every nation now calls on His name! Every kingdom bows before Him, Jesus Christ—the Cornerstone! Bridge The vineyard never was ours. We're only stewards for a few hours. The King is coming back again— Will He find faith, or faithless men? No crown of pride, No works to claim, Salvation comes through Jesus' name. By grace alone, Through faith we stand, Held forever in His hands. Chosen before the world's foundation, Called by sovereign recreation. Dead hearts raised by sovereign grace, Every tribe beholds His face. The Cornerstone can never fall, He's Lord forever over all! Final Chorus The Stone that the builders rejected Now forever reigns alone! Every knee will bow before Him, Every tongue confess His throne. King eternal! Risen Lord! Heaven and earth proclaim Your Word! Every sinner saved by grace, The Cornerstone, our building place. Outro The Owner's coming. The harvest waits. The King is standing at the gates. Blessed are all who trust the Son, For His Kingdom has begun. Jesus Christ... The Cornerstone.
