Suspended above the crater, the immense runic arch was bathed in a scarlet glow whose reflections danced across the volcano's blackened cliffs. Dozens of ancient runes slowly emerged upon its surface before vanishing into the incandescent depths of the passage. The air shimmered around the opening, warping the surrounding rock like a mirage, while a deep, unbroken rumble rose endlessly from the realm beyond. No one dared move. They all stared into the opaque light, unable to glimpse what awaited them on the other side. Every breath scorched their lungs a little more, and the silence hanging over the group felt almost as oppressive as the heat itself. At last, Mikki placed his hands on his hips and flashed a mischievous grin. "So... are we setting up camp here, or are we actually going?" No one answered. The old druid shrugged. "I'll take that as a yes!" Without the slightest hesitation, he sprinted toward the portal. "Yippee!" His joyful cry echoed for a few moments before being swallowed by the crimson light. His silhouette vanished completely behind the incandescent veil. The group remained frozen. Helena drew a deep breath. She stared for several seconds at the place where Mikki had disappeared before turning toward Torstein and Mikell. "Well... it's time. Torstein, Mikell... would you carry my father, please?" Her voice remained steady, yet her eyes betrayed an anxiety she could no longer conceal. Ever since their arrival in Iceland, every answer had seemed to give birth to two new questions. While Torstein and Mikell carefully lifted Mikal-Finnvard's unconscious body, Ash quietly approached Min. Hidden from the others, she gently rested a hand on her arm. Min turned immediately. "Be careful. I have the feeling the guardian didn't awaken merely to defend this passage. It awakened because of you. Beyond Midgard... we may discover things no one expects." Min remained speechless for a moment. "I... I don't know..." Her gaze drifted toward Bruno, who had already stepped through the portal. She took a slow breath. "We have to go. We'll see what happens... we don't have a choice anymore." Moments later, they all crossed the boundary between worlds. A wave of heat struck them with such violence that several instinctively staggered back. Every breath burned their throats. Before them stretched a landscape no mortal could ever have imagined. Immense rivers of lava carved through the black rock like the branches of a blazing tree. Pillars of fire erupted at regular intervals from the depths before crashing back down with deafening force. Above them, the sky was nothing but an endless veil of ash streaked with dark crimson lightning, while showers of glowing embers drifted slowly through the scorching winds. Far away, violent explosions shook the mountains. Each detonation echoed for several long seconds before dissolving into the endless roar of molten rivers. From time to time, twisted screams seemed to cross the vastness of the realm. No one could tell whether they came from unseen creatures, the bowels of the volcanoes... or simply the wind rushing through immense fractures in the stone. Even breathing demanded effort. A few steps away, Mikki gazed at the landscape with childlike wonder. "Oh... it's beautiful..." He immediately bent down and picked up a piece of hardened lava. "Ouch!" He dropped it at once, vigorously shaking his hand. "Turns out... it's still hot!" Bruno couldn't help smiling. Torstein rolled his eyes. Johannes quickly looked over each of his companions. "Is everyone alright? How do you feel?" SkΓΆrta turned toward Torstein and Mikell, who were still supporting the unconscious Jarl. "I think everyone's alright... I... I don't feel anything, at least." Ash stepped forward. "That's normal. No one can feel the absence of a memory whose very existence has already been forgotten." Her eyes wandered toward the rivers of fire. "Muspellheim... where RagnarΓΆk will find its beginning." No one answered. The sight spoke for itself. Helena clenched her fist. "Only if we fail. But I doubt this realm brings us any closer to Fenrir. We have to reach Asgard." Johannes nodded. "There is a way... but not from Muspellheim. We must first reach Niflheim." Mikki raised an eyebrow. "Niflheim? I thought your homeland was JΓΆtunheim." "It is," Johannes replied. "But SkΓΆll belongs to Niflheim. When I stole those rings from him during his hunt, they were already bound to his realm. They cannot open a path to JΓΆtunheim. They only open the border of Niflheim." Helena instinctively took the small ring from the pouch hanging at her belt. "You mean... these rings will lead us there?" "Yes," Johannes answered. "And only from Niflheim can we hope to find a path to JΓΆtunheim... and then to Asgard." πŸ’™πŸ€ 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐑𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 : >>> https://suno.com/song/0ffaf77e-dddc-4055-b3ef-ab2d21399200 <<< πŸ’™πŸ€ πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ€ The flames... are breathing Father... what did you hide Bruno... The ring... Why... why now... I watched my father fall without a single word. His silence burned far deeper than the mountain. Every answer leaves another hidden door. Every truth arrives disguised as something broken. Bruno walks beside me... yet farther every day. His eyes know roads he never should remember. I keep pretending nothing has changed... Because fear has learned to wear a gentle face. The flames remember names the gods erased. The ring awakens underneath my skin. Father!! What are you becoming? What have you carried all these years? I hear the mountain calling through the fire. I hear forgotten worlds beneath its heart. If every secret asks another sacrifice... How much of us survives the answer? Tell me I still know who I am. Tell me this road remembers mercy. If I lose the child inside my soul... Who will remember me? Beneath the Seventh Flame Every heartbeat breaks another ancient promise tonight. Beneath the Seventh Flame The mountain drinks the names we cannot carry anymore. I still hear my father's silent voice... I still hear Bruno calling through the fire. Beneath the Seventh Flame If destiny devours every hidden truth... Beneath the Seventh Flame I... I don't... I don't want... to forget... Please... PLEASE!! PLEAAAAAASE!! The gate has opened... there is no return. The fire has already learned our names. Behind the smoke waits frozen silence. Beyond the silence... another war. If Father's blood hides ancient power... Then mine must carry all its weight. I fear tomorrow... Yet I refuse to bow before it. If hope survives inside the ashes... Then let my voice become the flame. Even afraid... I will keep walking. Beneath the Seventh Flame Beneath the Seventh Flame... Beneath... the Seventh Flame...
