I been looking for her… In everybody else. In every apology. In every “I love you.” In every person I tried to save. But I finally realized… The woman I’ve been searching for was never gone. She was just buried underneath everything I had to survive. I gave my heart away like I had another one, Put everybody first until I forgot where I was from. I held people together while I was coming apart, Smiled through the pain while they were breaking my heart. I became what they needed, forgot what I wanted, Carried everybody's weight till my own soul was haunted. Kept saying, “I'm okay,” when I knew that I wasn't, Loved everybody else but couldn't love the woman I was becoming. I lost my confidence somewhere along the way, Started questioning my worth with every word they would say. But I'm tired of looking in the mirror feeling like a stranger, Tired of letting other people's choices make me feel like I'm in danger. I'm gonna find the woman I used to be, The one who believed there was more to me. I'm gonna learn to love myself again, Even if I gotta start from where I've been. I ain't chasing nobody just to feel complete, I ain't begging for love just to feel like I'm seen. Piece by piece, I'm taking back what's mine, The woman I lost is coming back to life. I don't need permission to become who I am, Don't need somebody else's love to know where I stand. I've been through the fire, I've walked through the rain, And somehow I'm still here after all of this pain. I used to think losing people meant losing myself, Now I know sometimes you gotta choose your own health. Some doors had to close, some bridges had to burn, Some lessons had to hurt before I finally learned. I can't change the past, can't rewrite what was done, But I can look in the mirror and remember who I've become. I'm still soft, still loving, but I'm stronger than before, And I won't abandon myself just to keep somebody at the door. Maybe she never left. Maybe she was just tired. Maybe she got quiet because nobody listened. But I hear her now. And she says… “Get up.” “Look at yourself.” “You survived everything you thought would destroy you.” So this time… I'm choosing me. I'm done measuring my worth by somebody else's eyes, Done believing every lie that made me question my mind. I know I'm not perfect, but I'm perfectly me, And I'm finally learning that's enough to believe. I gave love when I was empty, gave trust when I was scared, Gave chances to people who never really cared. But I don't regret loving—I just learned where to draw lines, Because protecting my peace ain't selfish this time. So here's to the woman who's been waiting inside, Here's to every tear that I cried. Here's to every version of me that survived, I'm not going back—I got a whole new life. I'm gonna find the woman I used to be, But this time she's gonna be stronger than she used to be. I'm gonna learn to love myself again, I'm gonna make peace with where I've been. I don't need somebody else to tell me I'm enough, I've survived the worst and I'm still standing up. Piece by piece, I'm taking back my life, The woman I lost… She's finally coming back to life. I thought I had to find somebody to love me before I could love myself. Now I know… I just had to find **me**.
