The Thirteenth Floor 🛗🎶👻

CASE FILE 13-C ACCESS RESTRICTED INVESTIGATION REMAINS ACTIVE ⸻ [Verse 1] The tower emptied floor by floor. Until the silence filled the core. Then somewhere deep within the shaft. A bell announced one level more.   The doors slid shut on level ten. Then climbed beyond where numbers go. A thirteenth button flickered red. For half a second in the glow.   The floor display went dark. Then every number disappeared. The cables groaned above the roof. Then opened where no floor should appear. ⸻ [Hook] No floor should wait above the sky. No plans should place a room that high. No bell should ring when none remain. No lift should climb beyond the frame. The doors returned. The witness swore. Something waiting on The Thirteenth Floor. ⸻ [Verse 2] A hallway stretched beyond the lights. With photographs from floor to roof. Each frame displayed a different life. Captured as unsettling proof.   One picture showed him standing there. Beneath a sign marked THIRTEEN SOUTH. His eyes were fixed upon the lens. His mouth hung open without sound.   He moved to touch the glass. And felt the blood drain from his face. The photograph moved first. And copied every motion he could make. ⸻ [Hook] No floor should wait above the sky. No plans should place a room that high. No bell should ring when none remain. No lift should climb beyond the frame. The doors returned. The witness swore. Something waiting on The Thirteenth Floor. ⸻ [Verse 3] The office doors stood open wide. A celebration filled the room. Crystal glasses caught the light. Beneath a banner stretched in bloom.   Nobody looked surprised at all. When he appeared beside the wall. Several faces raised a toast. As though expected by the hall.   One voice emerged above the hush. From somewhere near the center chair. “We’ve been waiting quite some time.” The speaker wasn’t standing there. ⸻ [Breakdown] Investigators searched the site. And found no space beyond the plans. Structural surveys matched the prints. Exactly as the records ran.   Yet dozens claimed the floor existed. Across reports spanning decades more. Descriptions changed in every file. Except The Thirteenth Floor.   Every witness gave one warning. Before refusing to say more. If the button glows red again. Do not exit on The Thirteenth Floor. ⸻ [Hook] No floor should wait above the sky. No plans should place a room that high. No bell should ring when none remain. No lift should climb beyond the frame. The doors returned. The witness swore. Something waiting on The Thirteenth Floor. ⸻ [Verse 4] The elevator opened once. To where the building plans would end. No architect could find the space. No records showed it had been penned.   The corridors bent out of shape. Like something drawn and built wrong. Every doorway led somewhere new. Though none remained for very long.   Security reviewed the tape. The footage ended at the door. The elevator later returned. Completely empty once more. ⸻ [Outro Spoken] Case File Thirteen-C remains active. No verified explanation exists. Building management denies the existence. Of The Thirteenth Floor. Witness statements remain sealed. The elevator remains in service. The thirteenth button. Has never been installed.
