Yeah... Let's talk about you. You know who you are. You smile with your teeth, but your eyes stay cold Sayin' "bless your heart" like it's compliments sold You wrap up the insult in a pretty little bow Think I don't hear it? Baby, I already know You talk real sweet 'til the room turns your way Then the claws come out, then you got somethin' to say You call it honesty, call it "just keepin' it real" Nah, that's just mean wearin' a different appeal Go ahead, smile in my face Go ahead, take your space But we both know what you just did— BACKHANDED Caught you slippin' BACKHANDED Smile then trippin' Say it plain Or don't say it BACKHANDED I already peeped it BACKHANDED I see through it BACKHANDED Nothing new to it Keep your mask Keep your game I already know your name You compliment the outfit, then you compliment the "try" You say "good for you" with a roll of the eye You clap the loudest when you want the room to see But whisper somethin' different the second it's just me Rude ain't always loud, sometimes it's real quiet Dressed up nice and calm, still causin' a riot I don't need to yell, I don't need to fight I just see it clear now — I see you right Go ahead, smile in my face Go ahead, take your space But we both know what you just did— BACKHANDED Caught you slippin' BACKHANDED Smile then trippin' Say it plain Or don't say it BACKHANDED I already peeped it BACKHANDED I see through it BACKHANDED Nothing new to it Keep your mask Keep your game I already know your name You can keep the sugar-coated jabs Keep the "no offense" before the stab I stopped fallin' for the pretty wrap Backhanded's still a slap You thought I wouldn't notice You thought I wouldn't see But every little move you make Tells the truth to me No more guessing No more doubt I know exactly What you're about BACKHANDED Caught you slippin' BACKHANDED Smile then trippin' Say it plain Or don't say it BACKHANDED I already peeped it BACKHANDED I see through it BACKHANDED Nothing new to it Keep your mask Keep your game I already know your name Nice try.
