*Woohooo, Wow!, This is going well tonight?* *Love that you are all singing along and keeping the tune better than me, hahahaha* *Ok, This one is called Social Blues and I know you all like this one.* Oh, the problem with being a girl, it’s true, Is when I go out, I don’t know what men will do. They see me smile, then come right in with a line, “Hey baby, are you a magician? ‘Cause you’re making my rationality decline.” I just laugh and say, “Nice try, but I’ve heard that before, Next thing I know, he’s asking me to be his forevermore!” Then there’s the chat-up artist with his cheesy talk,“ Is your name Wi-Fi? ‘Cause I feel a connection, let’s walk.” I tell him, “Sweetheart, I need a real man, not a bot, Your lines are so old, they’re practically in a plot!” But he just grins and tries again, with that goofy face, Honey, I’d rather be at home, sipping tea and saving grace. Now, I’ve had enough of those court-room stories, Of men who push and shove, forget all their glories. One guy tried to grab my arm, said, “Come on, you’re mine,” I called the cops and said, “This one’s crossing the line.” Lesson learned, ladies, stand tall and be firm, Respect isn’t given, it’s earned, not just a term. Oh, the girl’s social blues, it’s true, Men come with tricks, some old, some new. But we smile, we laugh, and we stand tall, ‘Cause girl power’s got it all! And then there’s the guy who thinks he’s so smooth, Says, “Hey gorgeous, what’s your sign? Let’s make a move.” I tell him, “Darling, I’m a Gemini, but I don’t date fools, So step back, or I’ll call the rules. ”He stammers, tries to charm, but I just walk away, Honey, better luck next time, it’s not your day! Sometimes they ask me for my number quick, Like I’m a vending machine, and they just pick. “Come on, girl, just one little swipe, ”But I say, “Nope, I prefer my swipe to be ripe. ”Respect means patience, not just a quick tap, So I give them a smile, and a little clap. And oh, the stories I could tell, Of men who think they’re the king of the shell. One tried to impress me with a terrible joke, Said, “Are you a parking ticket? ‘Cause you’ve got ‘FINE’ written all over.” I laughed and said, “That’s cute, but I need more than a line, Would you treat me right, or just waste my time?” Oh, the girl’s social blues, it’s true, Men come with tricks, some old, some new. But we smile, we laugh, and we stand tall, ‘Cause girl power’s got it all! So girls, take it easy, keep your head high, These men might try, but we’re smart, oh my! When they come with bad chat-up lines, just say, “I’ve heard better from my cat today! ”Respect’s what we need, and love that’s real, Stand your ground, girl, and seal the deal. ‘Cause in this game of social blues, We’re queens, we’re boss, and we refuse to lose!
