Cornfield Locomotive #1

[Intro] Choo choo tssss Old steam engine Puffed its way Up on the hill there [Verse 1] Rust red boiler Face full of soot Steel toes tapping On the crooked track Cornfield waving Yellow as a yawn Farmer’s hat hanging From the scarecrow’s back [Chorus] Choo choo tssssss Cornfield locomotive Pfffff in the morning sun Choo tssss choo Through the rows we’re rolling Old steam engine Run Choo choo tssssss Laughing at the thunder We get the harvest done [Verse 2] Kids on the fence line Bare feet swinging Lunch pails banging Like a makeshift band Crows lift slowly Circle Then settle Dust dances up From the cracking sand [Chorus] [Bridge] Smoke rings drifting Over tall green towers Iron heart ticking Counting down the hours Blade meets stalk In a golden rain We ride back home On a breathing train [Chorus]
