Face of Splendor
Now begins a story true that for me is always new that has shaped my life through and through I have seen the Face of Splendor flying past lifetimes into boundless Light past all darkness and the night My life began that day I was young then, only 21 and full of the usual folly Someone I hardly recall So many changes were needed Large and small Laying on my bed, Feeling huge love flow. The edifices of ego crumbled as I lay letting go of all into the past while flying into the brilliant vast My life began that day I saw Masters in a flash, I worshiped at their feet in love, Life after life, they flew past as the Light drew me above In that Face of Splendor The Living Light, I suddenly knew was the True me, and also you. The Infinite One and never two. In an instant, I was gone In the endless Light An unspeakable release Freedom unsurpassed The immense space of Power Bright The Force of Love The Being of Light Splendor beyond compare My life began that day For how long, I was gone I will never know. I was forgotten, cast aside like old shoe soles for a timeless time in that brilliant glow I was washed away and replaced with Passionate fire that burns in my soul today To give greatness to the Light To make It my whole life To give all I have and can do For me, there is no other way My life began that day I returned to myself at last The Light was vanishing down a dark tunnel fast As they say, happens after death I tried to hold on and never let go I wanted to serve it with my whole Then the Light became a vision in a square against the black I saw a grand gate open wide, with attendants on either side showing the garden within of shimmering greens and blues Somehow I already knew this was my hearts home true, where I had to go not then, no no no. it wasn't manifest yet. My life began that day suddenly I was awake again on my bed My heart was pounding in amazement, as if I just awoke from the dead In time, I found the Master Who gave me great Gifts The Face of Splendor And so much more Who drew me to my heart's home true Behind the grand gates open wide With attendants on either side Behind the garden of greens and blues He drew me to him to stay My life began that day My life began that day
