Cheap Wine & Takeaway

[Verse 1] Put down the phone, cancel the car We don’t need to go that far You’re in my hoodie, hair in a mess Better than any designer dress The reservations were hard to get But I’m willing to place a bet That we’ll have more fun right here With a couple of cans of beer [Pre-Chorus] Turn the lights down low Let the TV glow [Chorus] Give me cheap wine and takeaway Curry stains on a Friday We don’t need the Michelin stars Just plastic forks and who we are Dancing round the kitchen floor I couldn't ask for any more My perfect night, my holiday Is cheap wine and takeaway [Verse 2] You’re stealing the popadoms, stealing the duvet I wouldn't have it any other way The world outside is trying too hard Chasing the gold and the credit card But in this room, it’s safe and warm Sheltered away from the social storm Your laugh is the only song I need Forget the glitz and forget the greed [Pre-Chorus] Turn the lights down low Let the TV glow [Chorus] Give me cheap wine and takeaway Curry stains on a Friday We don’t need the Michelin stars Just plastic forks and who we are Dancing round the kitchen floor I couldn't ask for any more My perfect night, my holiday Is cheap wine and takeaway [Bridge] Let them have the champagne Let them have the caviar I’d rather be right here Exactly where we are Spilling sauce on the rug Wrapped in a lovers' hug [Chorus] Give me cheap wine and takeaway Curry stains on a Friday We don’t need the Michelin stars Just plastic forks and who we are Dancing round the kitchen floor I couldn't ask for any more My perfect night, my holiday Is cheap wine and takeaway [Outro] Just you and me And the MSG Cheap wine Cheap wine (Soft strumming)
