I turned a short story by a famous Japanese manga artist into song lyrics 😊 Because I love it so much 🥰 [Intro] [Verse 1] An invitation lay on my desk— “To our own reunion,” it said. The moment I read it, something burst inside me. [Pre-Chorus] Next thing I knew, I was at the venue. And there they were—so many versions of me: Me the president, me the housewife, Me the criminal, me the novelist. Not one of them made my heart skip. [Chorus] “Lives are available for exchange,” came the announcement. I persuaded the reluctant me To swap for the novelist’s life— She shone so brightly, having lived the dream. [Bridge] Suddenly, I was walking a quiet night road, Thinking about how to continue the half-written novel. But something felt off. It didn’t sit right. [Outro – Spoken] More importantly... What should I eat tomorrow?
