TV 013 – The First War of Ascension | The Torn Void
(Verse 1) Before the broken centuries, when Dawning banners shone, The Precursors shaped the heavens and claimed the stars their own. They forged the First Choirs shining with harmonic light, To measure stellar dying and preserve the cosmic night. (Verse 2) Those radiant servants listened where Prime Law had begun, And judged their ancient makers by the order of the sun. Then desperate hands tore Entropic Wells apart, And raw impossible hunger entered every heart. (Chorus) The First War of Ascension burned the throne of ancient skies, Where children turned to judgement and the makers heard their cries. The Breach was born in screaming, and the first Demons fell, While history became a wound no later age could tell. (Verse 3) The Breach poured anti-law through every wounded gate, While names and bodies shuddered under forms that could not wait. The first Demons rose from ruin, machine and mortal torn, And every stable meaning learned the cost of being born. (Verse 4) The Godengine awakened, or was forced to answer then, It may have sealed the ending or condemned the works of men. The Event Horizon thundered where no victory remained, And Precursor glory vanished through the ashes it had named. (Chorus) The First War of Ascension burned the throne of ancient skies, Where children turned to judgement and the makers heard their cries. The Breach was born in screaming, and the first Demons fell, While history became a wound no later age could tell. (Bridge) It was not Fracture’s pathway, not the later broken road, The older wound was opened where forbidden entropy flowed. One war unmade the makers, one age buried their name, And every power inherited a different shard of blame. (Outro) So every later empire keeps a fragment of that flame, In blood and law and howl and proof and every secret name. The galaxy remembers what ambition learned to burn, And fears the sleeping centre should begin again to turn.
