VERSE 1 She sits and counts the blessings Of the life that she has known Every morning brings a treasure In the world around her home The sunlight through the branches Birds drifting through the sky A gentle breeze comes dancing As the clouds go floating by PRE CHORUS And in these quiet moments She finds what matters most CHORUS All these little blessings Find her every day Simple moments full of wonder Carried softly through her day Though the years keep moving onward And time won’t ever slow Deep within her heart and spirit There’s still a ways to go Still a ways to go... VERSE 2 The neighbours start their hurrying Another workday race While others wake up slowly At their own untroubled pace She watches as the school bus Rolls slowly past the gate And memories of younger days Come rushing back again VERSE 3 She hears the tractors working In the paddocks far away And wonders what the farmer thinks As he works throughout the day She listens to the magpies Their morning songs so clear And thanks the life she’s living For another morning here BRIDGE Life can change within a moment Seasons come and seasons pass But the simple things around her Always seem the ones that last CHORUS All these little blessings Find her every day Simple moments full of wonder Carried softly through her day Though the years keep moving onward And time won’t ever slow Deep within her heart and spirit There’s still a ways to go Still a ways to go... OUTRO She may be growing older At least that’s what they say But she still wakes with gratitude For each new dawn each day And all these little blessings Still fill her heart with hope For life still waits before her And there’s still a ways to go
