Beehive Choir

Playful a cappella with tight doo-wop style harmonies, Male and female vocals trading leads; bass voices provide rhythmic "buzz" ostinatos, mids carry jazzy chords, and a bright top line handles the hook, Arrangement builds from a simple unison hum to stacked call-and-response, ending on a held cluster chord that rings out

[Intro] Mmm-bzz Mmm-bzz Little wings in the clover Mmm-bzz Mmm-bzz Busy day’s never over [Verse 1] Stripe suits Gold dust on their shoulders Tiny pilots Circling the flowers They dance Draw maps in the air Tell the whole hive “Sweet treasure over there” [Chorus] We go bzz-bzz-bzz Like a beehive choir Round and around Flying higher and higher Tiny hearts beat a marching time Bzz-bzz-bzz Hear the sunshine rhyme [Verse 2] Soft feet Tiptoe on the petals Warm breeze Shakes the yellow metal One drink Sharing every drop Bring it all home From the field to the rooftop [Chorus] [Bridge] [whispered vocals] hush… Under leaves Under apple trees Listen close You can hear them breathe [full voice] one hum Turns into a storm A thousand little voices Keeping the world warm [Chorus]
