Viking Beach Club

(Intro - heavy Dub bassline with an accordion/nyckelharpa riff, 102 BPM) Bung-thump, bung-thump... skank, skank! (Roaring Viking yell) "SKÅL! Pull up the longship, mon!" (Verse 1) We parked the dragon boat right on the sand Left all the raiding to another land Einar brought the weed, Leif brought the mead A campfire roaring is all that we need Sigurd tried to surf in his chainmail vest Sank like an anchor, but he did his best! Now he’s drying off by the burning driftwood Smoking on a pipe that is feeling real good. (Chorus) Welcome to the Viking Beach Club, skank it to the left! Drinking honey-wine, taking heavy puff-puffs! Horns in the air, toes in the sand Loudest, chilled-out warriors in the land! From Valhalla to Jamaica, feel the heavy bass line Viking Beach Club, everything is fine! (Verse 2) Björn’s got the barbecue roasting up a pig Torstein’s in a coconut bra, doing a jig Lost a bet in poker to a reggae-loving skald Now he’s braiding Rastafari dreads onto the bald The smoke goes up, the offbeat drops Even Thor’s thunder stops for the reggae chops We swapped our battleaxes for a pair of bongos Trading heavy helmets for some colorful sarongs! (Bridge - Melodica & Hurdy-Gurdy Solo) Roots reggae riddim meets a pagan jig "Pass the drinking horn, pass the green leaf, mon!" "Odin loves the bass! Shake your beard!" (Verse 3) Astrid fell asleep on an inflatable duck Floating out to sea, outta luck, outta luck Freya swam out with a joint in her mouth Rescued the duck, now we’re drifting down south No more pillaging, no more fight Just dubby Viking vibes all through the night! (Outro) So pour another horn of that sweet, sweet mead Light up the beach, that’s a Viking's need Skank in your fur boots, dance on the shore Viking Beach Club... peace and love forevermore! (Echoing dub delay on "Peace and love... love... love... SKÅL!")
