Chokehold (Live at La Riviera in Madrid, Spain)
A 1991 Seattle grunge and alternative rock track recorded live with stadium-sized concert acoustics in the packed venue of La Riviera in Madrid, featuring crowd cheers and a brief gritty spoken intro bleeding into the mics, Features a slow, chorus-effected clean guitar intro, a heavy driving melodic bassline, and mid-tempo punching drums, Sudden explosive shifts to a massive Big-Muff fuzz distortion chorus, The vocals feature an unmistakable Cobain style: desperate, strained male vocals with a raw, cathartic rasp, switching dynamically between clean moody verses and explosive screams, Authentic 90s radio and live analog production, tape warmth, raw underground garage atmosphere
