[Verse 1] Found a map in a cereal box Crayon stars and coffee stains X marked right on our rooftop Underneath the weather vane You said "Midnight Meet me there" Backpack full of rubber bands Flashlight tied up with a shoelace Glitter all over your hands [Chorus] We’re chasin’ the cosmic cat’s treasure Jumpin’ from the fire escape Hearts so loud Stardust in the air Can you feel the pressure? Laughin’ like we’re never comin’ back down If we find it Let’s keep it forever Secret like a ring we never write down We’re chasin’ the cosmic cat’s treasure Chasin’ it all over this small-town sky [Verse 2] Old antenna like a silver wand Pointed at the purple clouds You swore you heard a tiny paw-step Somewhere in the radio sound Milk carton on the chimney edge Offered up a lunar sip You drew whiskers on my freckles Said "Ready for the jump ship?" (hey!) [Chorus] We’re chasin’ the cosmic cat’s treasure Jumpin’ from the fire escape Hearts so loud Stardust in the air Can you feel the pressure? Laughin’ like we’re never comin’ back down If we find it Let’s keep it forever Secret like a ring we never write down We’re chasin’ the cosmic cat’s treasure Chasin’ it all over this small-town sky [Bridge] Maybe it’s a comet Maybe it’s a kiss Maybe that cat just Left us this Cookie-tin crown Polaroid throne Treasure is the way You walk me home (oh yeah) [Chorus] We’re chasin’ the cosmic cat’s treasure Jumpin’ from the fire escape Hearts so loud Stardust in the air Can you feel the pressure? Laughin’ like we’re never comin’ back down If we lose it We’ll draw it together Ink it in the corners of our night-time minds We’re chasin’ the cosmic cat’s treasure ’Til every ordinary day feels sky-high
