Somewhere between Elko and Reno
'Somewhere Between Elko and Reno' I was brought into this world The son of the prettiest girl By a strangers hands I did not know, In the back of a station wagon If you could only imagine Chorus Somewhere between Elko and Reno.... I grew up free and fast Didn't know how long I'd last But does anyone really know, Mama tried to tell me Daddy was absentee Chorus Somewhere between Elko and Reno.... I made it to grown With no help from my own And everything to learn I didn't know, Like how to get up early and be on time And to hold your place in line Chorus Somewhere between Elko and Reno.... That day came they laid Mama to rest She always said I was her best Later, Daddy said he didn't know, He wouldn't have went anyway We buried him the next day Somewhere between Elko and Reno.... For now I wander these streets as another tear hits the ground Picking up the pieces Somewhere between Lost and Found With very little to show, Just my life in some ole sack And a bunch of wrong turns I can't take back Somewhere between Elko and Reno....end
