(Verse 1) I put it on the staircase, watch it bounce with pride, Stretch it out long, then it snaps back inside. Coils keep shaking, everybody stares, Once I get it started, it goes down in pairs. (Chorus) Oh, my Slinky don’t quit, it just keeps rollin’, Up and down, yeah the motion’s golden. Hold it in your hands, let it slide so slick, Play too rough and it might do a trick. (Verse 2) Wrap it ‘round your fingers, pull it nice and slow, Give a little tug and watch that tension grow. Takes two hands just to keep it straight, If you drop my Slinky, it’ll still vibrate. (Chorus) Oh, my Slinky don’t quit, it just keeps rollin’, Up and down, yeah the motion’s golden. Take it for a spin, let it stretch all night, Once it hits the bottom, it bounces right. (Bridge) Plastic or metal, I don’t discriminate, Big spring, small spring — they all feel great. Wind it up tighter, let it unwind, Mess with my Slinky, you might lose your mind. (Outro) So grab that Slinky, give it some play, You’ll be begging for more at the end of the day. It’s the toy with a twist, oh, can’t you see? Everybody wants to bounce that spring with me.
