PROMISE Verse 1 Promise tomorrow we’d stay together. Promise this heart would never let you cry. Promise through every storm we’d hold each other. Promise the sunrise would never pass us by. Promise with lips while hearts grew farther. Promise so much, then let it fade away. Promise yesterday sounded forever. Promise today just vanished with the rain. Verse 2 Promise once, then promise a hundred times. Promise so sweet, then disappear in silence. Promise a sky of hope to someone waiting. Promise at last became an empty line. Promise a lifetime filled with laughter. Promise a dream forever bright. Promise unfinished before you walked away. Promise remained while you slipped out of sight. Chorus Promise for what if hearts keep changing? Promise for what if tears still fall? Promise for what if love loses direction? Promise for what if nothing lasts at all? Promise still echoes though you’ve forgotten. Promise still drifts upon the lonely wind. Promise still whispers through the coldest midnight. Promise was spoken… never kept again. Bridge Promise to Heaven, then forget the prayer. Promise to someone, then leave love behind. Promise yourself you’ll never change tomorrow. Promise at last was only left to time. Final Chorus Promise from yesterday still lives in memory. Promise today has floated far away. Promise after promise became a story. Promise remains… you’ve walked away. Promise never died, only hearts were changing. Promise never lied, only people did. Promise me now with a faithful heart forever. Promise once… and keep it till the end.
