[Intro] (The track opens in total silence. Suddenly, the iconic, pulsing 8-bit C64 chiptune melody of Rastan begins to play on a retro SID chip synthesizer. It loops once. Then, a massive, galloping double-kick drum blasts in, and a heavily distorted electric guitar perfectly doubles the 8-bit melody, turning the arcade classic into a roaring power metal anthem!) [Verse 1] He steps into the cursed domain of Lograth’s blackened lands, A heavy broadsword resting in his battle-hardened hands. Through the venomous rivers and the mountains made of bone, He carves a path of slaughter to a promised golden throne. The gargoyles wait in shadow and the dead begin to rise, But there is only vengeance in the warrior's brutal eyes. [Pre-Chorus] (The rhythm guitar chugs with aggressive, palm-muted speed!) No magic shield, no holy knight! Just savage power in the fading light! He swings the axe, he breaks the chain! The barbarian king of the burning plain! [Chorus] (A massive, symphonic wall of sound, blending heavy metal and 8-bit synths!) Rastan! He brings the steel to the fire! Rastan! He climbs the blood-stained spire! From the arcade halls to the 8-bit night, He is the lord of the blade and the god of the fight! Slay the beast and claim the crown! Tear the walls of Lograth down! [Verse 2] The chimeras are waiting where the jagged pillars rise, And the harpies dive like lightning from the digitized skies. He grabs the swinging creeping vines across the fiery pit, With armor made of iron and a soul that never quits. He finds the flaming magic wand, he strikes the demon horde, A thousand fallen monsters at the mercy of his sword! [Pre-Chorus] No magic shield, no holy knight! Just savage power in the fading light! He swings the mace, he breaks the chain! The barbarian king of the burning plain! [Chorus] Rastan! He brings the steel to the fire! Rastan! He climbs the blood-stained spire! From the arcade halls to the 8-bit night, He is the lord of the blade and the god of the fight! Slay the beast and claim the crown! Tear the walls of Lograth down! [Bridge] (The music drops into a slow, heavy, doom-metal march. The bass is thick and crushing, matching the footsteps of a giant.) Deep into the castle... where the shadows crawl. The dragon is waiting... behind the final wall. A mountain of treasure, a kingdom to claim, If he can survive the primordial flame! (The tempo explodes! A furious heavy metal scream tears through the track!) Draw the sword! [Solo Section] 🎸 The Chiptune Duel! (An epic, blistering solo section! First, a sweeping, neoclassical electric guitar shreds a blazing melody. Then, the C64 SID chip answers back, playing an equally fast, pitch-bending 8-bit solo! They trade bars back and forth until they harmonize perfectly in a triumphant, high-speed crescendo!) [Final Chorus] Rastan! He brings the steel to the fire! Rastan! He climbs the blood-stained spire! From the arcade halls to the 8-bit night, He is the lord of the blade and the god of the fight! Slay the beast and claim the crown! Tear the walls of Lograth down! [Outro] Take the throne! (Rastan!) Stand alone! (Rastan!) The Saga is complete! (The heavy metal instruments strike one final, massive power chord that slowly fades out, leaving only the classic, original C64 Martin Galway chiptune theme to pulse quietly into the silence.)
