The Divide Is Silent
The divide is silent …you don’t say it You feel it …when it don’t move I see it in motion, the way that they move with a need to be heard just to prove what they claim Every word elevated to fill up the space but it don’t ever land in a way that remains There’s a pull to perform when the moment gets tense, like the noise is the only control But I’ve seen what it does when it builds without weight …it collapses the second it’s told I don’t raise it to match it or meet it with volume, I stay where the pressure reveals what it is No need to project it or shape it for anyone watching …I know what it is Some need to show it …some let it sit Some need the moment …some don’t submit You see it …but don’t say it It’s there …unspoken They loud with it I stay with it The divide is silent …and I don’t have to hold it There’s a split in the way that the will shows itself when it’s quiet compared to when it needs eyes Some people project it to hold up a shape, others carry it inward and never disguise I don’t move for the moment, I hold in position and let everything else rearrange It’s not what I say …it’s how I remain When the pressure is asking for change I’ve seen how it shifts when the noise disappears and what’s left has to stand on its own No echo to carry it forward, no audience needed …just what you hold when alone It’s not in the words— …it’s where it sits No sound …still there No shift …still clear You see it …you know it No need …to show it They move with it I stay with it The line don’t break when you hold it
