[Verse 1] I used to reach for love with empty hands Take what I want and call it plans But You met me low by the well of shame And taught my heart to honor a woman [Pre-Chorus] So teach me, Lord to look like You To see her soul in all I do Not with hunger but holy care With truth and mercy in the air [Chorus] Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Hold her with honor hold her with honor Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Pure in the way I walk beside her [Verse 2] Bless the way she thinks the way she dreams The tears she hides and quiet seams Guard her with prayer when fears get loud Be safe in my hands when the world crowds [Pre-Chorus] So teach me, Lord to speak with grace To never turn her heart to waste Let patience bloom where pride once stood Make me a man who does her good [Chorus] Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Hold her with honor hold her with honor Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Pure in the way I walk beside her [Bridge] Wash out the old me burn out the pride Lead me by Your cross and stay close by If I call her mine let my life say She is Your daughter every day [Final Chorus] Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Hold her with honor hold her with honor Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Pure in the way I walk beside her Love her like Jesus love her like Jesus Teach me Your heart and lead me higher Take good care of her
