Verse 1 I cried out loud in the night of fear, “How long, O Lord, will You not hear?” Violence rising, justice gone, Where is Your hand? How can this go on? Pre-Chorus Then You spoke in a thunder sound, “I am working, even now.” Chorus Though it tarries, I will wait, You are just, You’re always great. Even when I cannot see, Righteous live by faith in Thee. Mountains shake and nations fall, Still I trust You through it all. Verse 2 You raised the storm from distant lands, A harder truth I don’t understand. How can You use what seems so wrong? Still Your justice will be strong. Pre-Chorus Then You said, “The proud will fall, But the righteous trust through it all.” Chorus Though it tarries, I will wait, You are just, You’re always great. Even when I cannot see, Righteous live by faith in Thee. Mountains shake and nations fall, Still I trust You through it all. Bridge If the fields are dry and the fig tree dies, If all I know is stripped from my eyes, Yet I will rejoice, I will not fear, The Lord is strength, the Lord is near. Final Chorus Though it tarries, I will wait, You are just, You’re always great. Hope is alive beyond the pain, You are God, You will reign. Righteous live by faith, they stand, Held forever in Your hand.
