Trusted with the Garden (Remix)

[Verse 1] Before our hands were in the soil The ground was good, the work was done Trees were heavy with their fruit Morning light had already come [Verse 2] We were placed inside the gift Not to finish what You made Every path already open Every color fully laid [Chorus] You trusted us with the garden Before we knew the reason why You spoke Your word without explaining And we learned to live by trust, not sight [Verse 3] Every tree was freely given Every breath a borrowed grace Only one was held in kindness A boundary love would help us place [Verse 4] There was work without the striving Hands that tended without fear Care that flowed from what was finished Joyful labor, calm and clear [Chorus] You trusted us with the garden Not because You needed care But to teach our hearts obedience Before we learned to understand [Bridge] We don’t need to see the ending To believe the voice that calls Faith begins with simple hearing And resting where You placed us all [Chorus] You trusted us with the garden In a world already good We obeyed before the knowing And found You faithful as You said You would [Outro] Here we stand in what You finished Tending what was always Yours Learning trust before the answers Learning life by keeping close
