Mr. Badass (Hey, Freddie) (Homage to Freddie Mercury)
## PREFACE 🤓 The homage reimagines the original 'Mr. Bad Guy' song from a different perspective. It's filled with a bright yearning for a person who is no longer there and who was close. And yet, at the same time, it's an ode to his genius and legacy, which still influences many people 🤓 🤓 The original 'Let's go chasing rainbows in the sky' becomes 'Let's refract with prisms all the light' here, to emphasize the author's greater detachment and the impossibility of chasing rainbows with Freddie 🤓 🤓 'You're lucky to be free' shows the author's opinion that some people are lucky to be straight, which gives them greater freedom of interaction and personal fulfillment 🤓 🤓 'He's like the Queen' - alas, Freddie is no longer with us, just like Queen Elizabeth, and, although the track is from a solo album, it's a double reference: to his personal life, where he could jokingly be a queen, and to the name of the band he performed with 🤓 🤓 'They're all afraid of him' refers to his illness and society's prejudice against it 🤓 🤓 'Now I'm everybody's, Mr. Badass' - the author admits that she has a lot in common with Freddie, and that thanks to the inspiration from his work, it's now her turn to be Mr. Badass 🤓 ## LYRICS [Verse 1] Let's refract with prisms all the light, It's my invitation.
