[Intro] I have one good fork I don’t know what happened to the others [Verse 1] there are six in the drawer technically but one is too heavy two have weird handles one has a bent tooth and the little one feels like it’s for children so one good fork I washed it this morning instead of using another one which probably says something not interested [Verse 2] the bathroom light takes about half a second to come on just long enough to think the bulb finally died then there it is every time there’s toothpaste on the mirror not much just one white dot near the bottom I could wipe it off while I’m noticing it but apparently that’s not how this works [Hook] everything’s where I left it more or less keys in the bowl shoes by the door mail I should open mail I already opened but kept anyway one good fork clean again we’re doing fine [Verse 3] I bought new towels same color as the old towels stood in the aisle for twelve minutes considered blue went with gray big afternoon the freezer makes ice at unpredictable times scared me yesterday I said Jesus Christ to an appliance then apologized not to the freezer just generally [Verse 4] there’s a shirt on the back of the chair it’s not dirty it’s not clean there should be a third place for clothes chair is doing its best I have three phone chargers one works one works if you bend it toward Nevada the third one I keep for reasons that have not presented themselves yet [Hook] everything’s where I left it more or less coffee in the cupboard cups upside down plant by the window leaning toward something one good fork back in the drawer we’re doing fine [Verse 5] Marley knows the sound of the cheese drawer not the refrigerator specifically the cheese drawer I opened it for mustard he arrived anyway I explained the situation he stayed fair enough there’s a spot on the couch where he always sleeps when he’s somewhere else the cushion stays dented for a while I notice that that’s all [Bridge] I changed the batteries in the remote both of them threw the old ones away immediately didn’t leave them on the counter didn’t put them in the junk drawer straight in the trash I don’t know felt significant [Verse 6] the clock on the microwave is four minutes fast I’ve known this for two years so whenever I look at it I subtract four which seems harder than fixing the clock but now fixing it would make it wrong there’s probably a name for that [Outro] anyway I need groceries dish soap coffee dog food and forks … no the fork’s fine
