Infected Cell-Tides of Change

Come gather, good fellas Wherever you stand And face that the ground Is no longer as planned The fires are burning The seas claim the land If your future is worth any saving You’d better wake up now And lend it a hand but the tides of change are rising (the tides of change are rising) Come coders and speakers Whose words shape the feed Be mindful of hunger For power and greed The truth can be twisted At algorithmic speed And silence is quietly bribing What’s viral today May be tomorrow’s creed but the tides of change are rising (the tides of change are rising) Come leaders and lawmakers Hear what is said Don’t hide in your chambers While fear’s being spread For wars born in whispers Leave thousands misled And anger keeps steadily climbing The storm at your borders Is closer than read but the tides of change are rising (the tides of change are rising) Come mothers and fathers Across every shore Your children see dangers You’ve not seen before In screens full of shadows And data at war Old certainties steadily dying If you can’t guide forward Don’t block up the door but the tides of change are rising (the tides of change are rising) [bridge] The line has been drawn In ice and in flame The rules once unshaken Won’t play the same game The weak may grow stronger The proud lose their name As old empires quietly are sliding What’s certain this moment Won’t always remain but the tides of change are rising (the tides of change are rising) x2 [end]
